亲爱的威彻斯特走读学校社区:

我们很高兴地宣布即将到来的2023-2024学年的学校举措. These are the results of the Serving Diverse Learners Project that was communicated to the community in January. 与 教育目标 这是今年早些时候明确提出的, we are working on a multi-year plan for enhancing the 支持 we provide for diverse learners at WDS, 无论是干预还是丰富.  在Miriam和Ari Loren领导的一群资助者的支持下, 我们花了一年的时间进行研究, 分析, and brainstorming ways to create a thoughtful and intentional plan to increase our capacity to serve all of our learners at 威彻斯特走读学校.

	响应的教室: Our school community is beginning to learn and adopt the core principles and practices of 响应的教室. 响应的教室 is an evidence-based approach to teaching that focuses on engaging academics, 积极的社区, 有效的管理, 发展意识. 最初的团队, 包括管理人员和教育工作者, 正在完成为期4天的强化训练吗. 这个团队将与英语教学中心合作，在整个学校推广这个项目. 明年，我们将开始实施“响应课堂”的具体实践.
	飞行五SEL课程:The 响应学校中心开发“响应式课堂”的组织最近开发了 飞五SEL课程. This curriculum will replace our existing SEL curriculum to align with 响应的教室. 这些课程明确地教授了一套社交和情感能力, 即合作, 自信, 责任, 同理心, 自我控制(C).A.R.E.S.).
	Social and Emotional Learning Coordinators: We are thrilled that our two SEL Coordinators, 唐娜·莱文森和妮可·普拉斯基, 会带头在全校推行“飞五人组”课程吗. Donna将会接替Ganon的角色，同时继续担任4年级的课堂老师.  妮可将把她在WDS的所有时间都花在K-8年级的这个角色上. 与ELT合作, 它们都将支持“响应课堂”的发展和长期成功, 飞5, 和SEL语言/结构.
	English as a New Language (ENL) Coordinator:  With our growing number of students who need ENL 支持, 我们很高兴阿里·托莱达诺将担任这个新角色, 除了他的课堂职责. 在阿里的支持下, we will streamline and increase our capacity to educate our non-native English speaking students both in the classroom and in small targeted groups.

	舍法中心咨询:连接到 Shefa学校, Shefa中心 是专业发展、咨询和培训的中心吗. 威彻斯特走读学校将与Shefa中心合作，以更好地了解, 支持, 并教育我们的学生不同的学习需求. 明年, Shefa中心的顾问将访问我校, 遵守课堂和非课堂时间, and meet with educators and administration to continue to plan our next steps as a community.

We are all excited and inspired to grow and learn as a school community and believe this work will have a powerful impact on all of our students, 家庭, 和教育工作者. 随着我们推进这些举措, 我们致力于继续研究, 评价, and thoughtful planning of our next steps to further our 支持 and enrichment programs. These initiatives are also in addition to our continued focus on classroom based systems for small group learning and differentiation to 支持 our student’s learning needs.
